HMS Warspite was one of the most illustrious and formidable battleships of the Royal Navy during World War II. Commissioned in 1915 during World War I, it served with distinction in the Battle of Jutland, earning a reputation for resilience after sustaining significant damage and still returning to port.

During World War II, Warspite played a crucial role in various theatres of operation including providing fire support during the D-Day landings and bombarding German coastal defences to assist the Allied amphibious assault on Normandy beaches.
